Autumn Fishing at Glade Run Lake Park, Valencia, PA
I decided to take a trip up to Glade Run Lake Park in Valencia, PA and see how the new lake looked after construction efforts to secure the new dam and of course to see if there were any fish to be caught. The lake is scenic and serene and if you ever needed to hear quiet you should take a trip to this park. Took in about a dozen of these 8-10 inch large mouth bass on a Panther Martin UV spinner with red and orange power bait worm teaser. I tossed a few night crawlers in the water but nothing to exciting to write about appeared.
This is the first time I'd caught a decent amount of fishing using Panther Martin UV spinners.

Fourth of July Fishing Fireworks on Pine Creek
July 4, 2017 was a beautiful day for fishing. Blue sky, green foliage and a monster catfish dancing on the end of my line. The reel actually sang as well as the catfish darted multiple times from point to point in the creek fishing hole. Simple split shot rig with a worm hook and night crawler took down this monster cat. The catfish measured 26 3/4 inches before released back into the creek. A prehistoric looking snapping turtle also found the end of my line and was released unscathed.

Pittsburgh Creekside Fishing Report: Allegheny River, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Fished the Allegheny River on the North Shore of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania today. The water was muddy and brown today with low visibility from the banks. Hooked a Sauger with a black and yellow Panther Martin with a bronze blade and with red Berkley Power Bait floating trout worm teaser. Hooked into two small-mouth bass as well but they shook the lure loose. Plenty of Canadian Geese bobbing around as well.

Pennsylvania Trout Opening Day 2017 - North Park, Pittsburgh
Pittsburgh Creekside was out kayaking around North Park Lake in the North Hills of Pittsburgh on opening day for trout fishing in Pennsylvania. It looked like a Pittsburgh Steeler's football tailgate on opening day with fishermen lined up elbow to elbow on the banks of North Park Lake. Great weather and lots of good fish caught. There were even a few Pennsylvania Game Wardens out there promoting boating and life jacket safety.

Kozelnik Creekside Rebrands as Pittsburgh Creekside
The Pittsburgh fishing blog Kozelnik Creekside has re-branded and changed it's name to Pittsburgh Creekside. The blog is a creek side pictorial of fishing in Pittsburgh, the North Hills and surrounding countryside. Pittsburgh Creekside proprietor, Scott Kozelnik said of the re-brand, "The reason for the rebrand is to make the site more Pittsburgh-centric. Urban fishing along the Allegheny River in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania is a unique experience. There is nothing like reeling in a smallmouth bass with PNC Park as your backdrop and one of the finest city vistas in the world in the foreground."
