22 Inch Rainbow Trout Caught and Released in Pine Creek - North Hills of Pittsburgh on Father's Day 2024

We caught and released this beautiful 22-inch Rainbow Trout on Pine Creek in Allison Park.  We all took turns reeling it in - memory of a lifetime! 

We were keeping cool and wading in the creek and happened to get a bite in a deeper cut along the bank - water is really low right now, we thought we hooked some vegetation or roots but what a surprise.

We were just floating crawlers down the creek into rips and some minor holes.

The kids also got a half dozen short bass and quite a few bluegills.

Pine Creek is lively after those bad storms we had a couple of months ago.  The terrain is different, but the fishing is still strong.
